AVer Information Inc. USA, the award-winning provider of video collaboration solutions and education technology solutions today announced the strengthening of its leadership team with the appointment of two sales and marketing technology veterans. Russell Barefield joins the company as National Sales Director, Education Business and James Salter, Marketing Director, Education Business. Together, the new hires bring decades of sales and marketing leadership in hardware and software technologies across education, enterprise and telecommunications markets.

Russell Barefield joins AVer from BenQ where he led business development and directed sales and business operations for digital signage, business and education solutions in North America. He has held other senior sales leadership positions at hardware and telecommunication companies such as Optoma Technology, Sprint Nextel Corporation, Zales Corporation and T-Mobile. Russell is a results-oriented leader with a track record of growing businesses in competitive markets for the past 25 years. At AVer, Russell will lead the sales strategy and execution for the education business.

James Salter has held numerous marketing leadership roles over the past 22 years, most recently at companies such as CENTRI Technology and BSQUARE Corporation where he helped them transform to serve the growing Internet of Things markets. He has also held senior marketing roles at Symphony Teleca (now HARMAN), Microsoft Corporation, Microsoft Canada Inc. and Navision Canada Inc. where he helped to grow vertical market share working directly with customers and with channel partners. At AVer James will lead the company’s marketing strategy and grow the brand with educators and channel resellers.
