Senior Product Manager – Education Solutions

AVer is seeking a passionate Senior Product Manager to help change classroom learning – join us if you are fervent about how kids learn in schools.

AVer is an award-winning provider of visual collaboration solutions that improve productivity and enrich lives. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the definition and launch of AVer’s Educational Solutions, including classroom document cameras, accessories, and STEAM solutions.

As a Senior Product Manager at AVer, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development cycle, including developing business plan, conceiving, designing, market launching world-class K-12 classroom products.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of a product vision, strategy, business case, and roadmap
  • Initiatives to solicit insight and feedback from customers and users, which may include students, teachers, district technology directors, and channel partners
  • Collaborate with the development team to determine the best implementation strategy, including build/buy/partner analysis and recommendation. If required, drive organizational change to deliver results.
  • Work closely with the development team (internal and outsourced ODM suppliers) to manage product development from concept through launch
  • Direct ownership of product line lifecycle, including managing their P&L
  • Conduct competitive and market trends research in support of marketing programs and business strategy

Requirements

  • Deep intuition and passion for what makes a great product as well as a desire to bring world-class K-12 education solutions to classrooms for teachers and students
  • At least 7+ years of experience as a proven Product Manager or equivalent experience
  • A proven track record for building engaging and delightful product experiences, including classroom devices teachers and students use for teaching and learning
  • Be thoughtful about what makes a great user experience
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred
  • Bi-lingual English and Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not essential
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record and experience is project management and product design/product development
  • Track record of successfully working with ODM’s
  • Proven record of conceiving and launching successful products
  • Ability to work both independently and with remote teams in different time zones, often with little supervision
  • Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-driven, ability to initiate own initiatives and drive organizational change
  • Deep empathy for learners and a curiosity about what makes a great classroom learning experience.

RMA / Repair Technician

AVer Information Inc. is seeking an intelligent and responsible individual for our RMA/Repair Technician position. This individual will be responsible for RMA's and to perform the duties of a repair technician as well as other job related activities within our Operations Department. This role will report to our Warehouse Supervisor and work with our RMA and Operations Teams. High attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills both written and verbal is essential for effective communication and success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, repairing and refurbishing all products including Document Cameras, Charging Carts and Flat Panel TVs
  • Responsible for the return process of all evaluation/demo units and credit processes
  • Simulate, emulate and trouble-shooting customer's issue, and repair or replace the device back to customers in a timely manner
  • Update Firmware and perform product burn-in on all products when needed
  • Record and maintain RMA parts inventory accurately
  • Request, prepare, pack and ship end-user's RMA parts inquiries
  • Collect and provide feedback on product quality issues/new ideas to Product Management for product quality improvement
  • Update RMA device serial number records in SAP
  • Manage and coordinate shipping and receiving of return products with HQ
  • Coordinate and collaborate return processes with Tech Support, Shipping and Financial departments
  • Answer customers' inquiries regarding return status and product questions
  • Perform data analysis and generate daily and monthly RMA reports
  • Cross train colleagues to share knowledge and expertise
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • College BS degree or higher required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Customer Support / RMA repair role
  • Knowledge in Electro / Mechanical repair
  • Detailed oriented with great organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Cooperative team player with a positive attitude
  • Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, and SAP system etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, a quick learner, enthusiastic and professional
